Multi-turn gearboxes
Gear operators used with actuators or handwheels on valves that need many turns to fully open or close, such as gate valves.
- DSB: Dual-shaft bevel gear operator for dual-stem sluice gates and penstocks, 13 sizes, up to 8,135 Nm, ratios 1:1–120:1.
- HOB: Hand-operated bevel gearbox for sluice, gate, and globe valves, 12 sizes, up to 10,846 Nm torque / 1,557 kN thrust, ratios 2:1–81:1.
- HOS: Hand-operated spur gearbox for gate, globe, sluice, and penstock valves (above- or below-ground), 13 sizes, up to 15,917 Nm, ratios 2.04:1–151.9:1.
- IB: Heavy-duty cast-iron bevel gearbox for motorised valve and gate applications, 13 sizes, up to 8,135 Nm, ratios 1:1–120:1.
- IS: Heavy-duty cast-iron spur gearbox for motorised valves needing an input shaft parallel to the valve stem, 19 sizes, up to 46,098 Nm, ratios 1:1–360:1.
- MTW: Multi-turn worm gearbox for sluice gates and dampers, 11 sizes, up to 162,000 Nm, ratios 40:1–5,760:1.
- SPI (Smart Position Indicator): Not a gearbox: an IECEx/ATEX-certified limit-switch device that gives an accurate Open/Close signal to the control room for manual multi-turn valves, 4 sizes.
